Our Services
Ekondenge was founded in 1996 to provide consulting and engineering services in the area of environmental management. Ekodenge’s founding members have been active professionals on environment since 1985. Ekodenge provides consultancy services to especially public institutions, local authorities, international organisations, NGOs and industries.

Our environmental services include performing research and development activities especially regarding policy development and implementations, capacity development, education and training in the vision of EU policy and strategies.

Waste Management

Reduction in waste production, recycling and reuse, and establishment and monitoring of the disposal facilities make up our main working areas in waste management issues. In this framework, our activities continue through the issues of: Disposal Facilities, Hazardous Waste, Waste Incineration, Waste Oil, End of Life Vehicles, Electrical and Electronic Equipment Wastes by considering the EU goals.

Chemicals and Chemical Accidents

Work is done on the control and monitoring of dangerous chemicals; especially on the issues of chemical manufacturing, storage and transfer of chemicals; in order to provide protection for man and the environment.

Studies have been provided on the establishment of the notification system, preparation of the security reports and emergency plans and capacity building regarding the Directive of Control of Major-accident Hazards (SEVESO II).

SMEs and Environmental Management

Our goal is to carry out studies regarding the implementations of the harmonized EU environmental legislation that will impact the industrial sectors. This will be achieved by analysing the reflections on industrialists due to the fundamental changes and difficulties that are aroused from the implementation of environmental legislation as a result of the EU adaption process.

Consultancy services are provided to industrial administrators, Organised Industry Zones authorities and KOSGEB on prevention of industrial pollution and risk management together with the research & development activities on a sectoral base.

Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control

Harmonisation of Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Directive of EU imposes difficult to managed responsibilities and costs for all levels of manufacturers and government. Due to this adaptation, Best Available Techniques (BAT) implementations are the key issues for the industrial sectors. Within this perspective, research & development projects are carried out on the area of strategy development and engineering through the policies of pollution prevention at the source, sustainable development, clean and efficient production technologies.

Main focus area is the sectoral strategic assessment and the usage of environmental friendly technologies especially considering integrated pollution prevention and control.

Sustainable Management of Natural Resources

Studies are carried out for protecting the biological diversity, increasing natural protection, protection of birds and their natural life (habitat), protection of the natural life of bestial flora and fauna. In this framework, especially preparation of the national park management plan, monitoring and training studies are performed.

Integrated Product Policies and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which has the aim of improving the reduction and better understanding of the environmental impacts, has been developed as a result of the increased consciousness on the importance of environmental protection and possible environment impacts of produced and consumed products. Life Cycle Inventory Analysis (LCIA) is the collection and calculation phase of the LCA for the input and outputs of a product through its life cycle. The knowledge developed by the LCA studies are accepted as a part of a comprehensive decision making process. It is the milestone of the implementation of the Integrated Product Policies, Waste Prevention and Recycling Strategies and Sustainable Natural Resource Management Decisions especially during the EU harmonisation process.

We are in the aim of collecting all of our studies regarding the Inventory Analysis in a software system. By integrating this software system with the Life Cycle Inventory Analysis the followings are aimed to be performed:

  • Coordination of environmental management activities of the facility.
  • Surveying of facility and preparing the waste inventory and providing the environmental management of the facility.
  • Determination and control of the significant environmental aspects and environmental impacts.
  • Determination of the important environment opportunities in terms of waste management.
  • Determination and facilitation of the requirement of related environment legislation.
  • Harmonisation of the EU norm and criteria by adaptation of the variable requirements and situations considering the continuity of system development.
Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS)

The harmonisation studies of Eco-Management and Audit Scheme in Turkey has been carried out by the coordination of the Ministry of Environmental and Forestry under the context of the EU adaptation process. Our current working area includes the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and especially Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) together with the SMEs. We perform the following services by Environmental Management Systems Consultancy:
  • Protecting raw material and energy
  • Application and organisation of eco-efficiency
  • Technology development and transfer of technology
  • Analysis of eco-efficiency implementations
  • Transfer of improvement regarding the EU adaptation period
