Determination of the current state of petroleum wastes in the TRC3 Region
Determination of areas / sectors that can use petroleum derivative wastes as source / raw material in this region and demonstration of the applicability of the Industrial Symbiosis to this issue
The aim of this study is to develop sustainable and innovative resource utilization with symbiotic approach, to develop cooperation between companies with the possibility of symbiosis and to increase the competitiveness of companies that produce environmentally sensitive products and bringing their wastes to economy by evaluating them.
Within the project scope, literature review, institution visits and field works were performed.
Well-attended synergy workshop was organized in Batman on December 6, 2017.
During the field works that covers Batman, Mardin, Siirt, Şırnak, Diyarbakır and Gaziantep provinces and last for about 2.5 months, a total visit of 132 companies and 11 institutions has been carried out.
Feasibility concept notes have been prepared for 8 prominent industrial symbiosis opportunities selected regarding a set of criteria.
In consequence of all the field works and analyses, an important step has been taken in the region in the direction of bringing the petroleum wastes to the economy.
