Product Owner

The Product Owner should have an development background role that stands in the middle of the customer, development teams, and the domain experts team. The main responsibility of the role is to ensure products are delivered on time to meet stakeholder expectations with predefined priorities.

The Product Owner collaborates with all stakeholders to analyse the needs, current problems, and new features in order to build prioritized product backlogs and work directly with the development teams to deliver products.

Product Owner will be part of an Agile development team. He/she will be responsible for one or more relevant products’ lifecycles and sprint deployments to achieve successful backlog management.

 

 More Specifically, You Will

  • Develop a deep and thorough understanding of product strategy, user requirements and expert expectations through collaboration with all stakeholders
  • Be responsible for creating, prioritizing and managing the Product Backlog
  • Produce the release plan and get the approval of stakeholders
  • Be responsible for release timelines, and product quality
  • Define acceptance criteria for the features and verify once they are developed
  • Perform risk analysis of the features
  • Develop detailed specifications for the product features, so they are clearly understood by the stakeholders
  • Translate epics as well as feedbacks coming from stakeholders into actionable user stories and clearly express Product Backlog items to best achieve goals and missions
  • Ensure that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum Team will work on next
  • Balance external and internal interests in backlog priority setting and ensure stakeholders expectations are aligned
  • Participate in daily scrum and retrospective meetings with the development team as well as various meetings with stakeholders
  • Supervise and advise the scrum team to meet software expectations and feedbacks of stakeholders
  • Monitor Product performance metrics and ensure successful product delivery
  • Work closely with scrum teams throughout the development process
  • Work cross-functionally with development, UX, Analytics, Sales, and other internal and external teams

 Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree from Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields
  • At least 5-years experience working in software development projects, especially with the role of product owner/software business analyst or similar responsibilities.
  • Technical background with knowledge of software development lifecycle and ability to understand technical challenges,
  • Experience in agile software development methodology and driving all stages of the product lifecycle
  • Experience in working directly with Software Scrum teams and stakeholders to get user requirements and compile user stories
  • Knowledge and experience to translate user needs to user stories and to make an impact analysis of needs
